How to play roulette?
Roulette is a popular casino game that involves a spinning wheel and a small ball:
- The Roulette Wheel:The roulette wheel is divided into 37 (European) or 38 (American) numbered pockets. The numbers range from 1 to 36, alternating between red and black. The exception is the 0 (green) pocket, and in American roulette, there’s an additional 00 (green) pocket.
.European Roulette: 37 pockets (1-36 plus 0).
.American Roulette: 38 pockets (1-36, 0, and 00). - Placing Bets: Before the wheel is spun, players place bets on a table that corresponds to the numbers and other possible outcomes.
- The Spin: Once all bets are placed, the dealer (or the automated system in online play) spins the wheel in one direction and releases a small ball in the opposite direction around the wheel. The ball gradually slows down and eventually lands in one of the numbered pockets on the wheel.
- Winning and Payouts: Once the ball settles into a pocket, the winning number is revealed. Depending on your bet, you win according to the odds for that type of bet.
